Dear Stav, Dear Nadine,

First of all, I apologize for the late reply.

Thanks to your suggestion, I thought of a way to help readers: I read the entire text of the book to extract all the Italian words and I wrote them in a list in alphabetical order, having noticed that many of these were repeated in more than one chapter. Unfortunately I do not have the possibility to record, but Riccardo, to whom I have already sent my list, has kindly accepted to read the words, in the same alphabetical order.

In my opinion, it will be good to insert two files in the opening message: my list (pdf) and its recording, both of them sent here as soon as possible. In this way everyone will be able to compare simultaneously the written word with the correct pronunciation.

Ciao!
Paola :)

Oh wow, Paola, that must have been a lot of work! Thank you so much :D
By all means, do upload both files to my folder (neb). You won't be able to upload the pdf as such, I'm afraid, the uploader will take a text file though, or you could put it in Google Docs and give public access to anyone with the link.

Hi Stav, Hi Nadine

I've uploaded a txt-file and a mp3-file

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/neb/ITALIAN_WORDS.txt
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/neb/italianwords.mp3

I've read the exact word, even those that would be wrong or odd in italian; the only two exceptions are marked on the list.

neckertb wrote:Yes, if they see we need help. But last time someone needed help with Italian, I ended up giving it with my students' help...
You're perfectly right, Nadine: the problem is to see if someone needs help, so, for this or for other projects, feel free to send me a PM; I'll be glad to help any BC, MC or reader in such a matter.

Bye

Riccardo and Paola, thank you so much :D
I will remember if I need Italian help, although I do have 2 Italian students who are usually willing, so I get it first hand

Ashleigh, will you add these two links to the first post?

Thanks :D
Nadine

Ashleigh thanks for adding me.

Just realised we are only about 20 miles from each other - as I live in Bedford. I certainly wasn't expecting to find another Librivoxer that close!

Ah, I've never been to Bedford before. Apart from when we got lost coming back from Norwich

There is actually another user (I believe his forum name is FNH) who is from Northampton.
