A wonderful, and heartbreaking chapter. I actually cried reading the final excerpt from Brock's notes, speaking glowingly of the natives' love of their king. Tecumseh's Shawnee and countless other Indians offered up their service (and lives) in exchange for what they thought was Britain's fatherly 'protection' of their people. If only he knew ...

Thanks! It's in the MW.

My condolences with your mom passing.

You are not late at all. There are more outstanding chapters.

I am sorry but you will have to remove me from my section. I never knew how much legal business one has to take care of when a parent passes away....sorry

Thanks for letting us know. I've never had to deal with this myself but have certainly heard from others how much work it is. Take care of yourself and don't worry about LV - we'll still be here when you're ready to jump back in.

It's all yours. Many thanks, Cathy! I think that was the fastest orphan adoption ever...

I totally understand. My dad passed away last November and I was burdened with most of the paperwork as mom is legally blind. Lots and lots of 'brown envelops' had been arriving and some still are.

Don't forget to take care of yourself.

thanks everyone for the patience with me and Esther, what a good daughter you were to help your mom...you must be a blessing to her..I only have a step father and am having to deal with his lawyer as well...seems half of his home, acrege, and farm equipment and cows (yes, I am from Texas) now belongs to my 7 siblings and I and he wanted it all but my mom left it all to me so my siblings are suing me as well (like I won't do right by them, already gave them everything they had wrote their names on while she laid dying in the hospital holding my hand......and my son lives on the land my parents own and step dad kicked him out and bulldozed the house he lived in that belonged in the will...two days after the funeral....what a butthead...
But I will be back...LV saved me in the hospital for something to do while waiting on ICU visits that are few and far between.

Thanks Sarah. Yes, I just happened to visit the forum and saw the posting. I had enjoyed the readings I did on Tecumseh so was excited at the possibility to end the book. I didn't realize until after I had posted my request that it was only up four minutes. It looks terribly like I had been prowling and pouncing. I sure didn't mean that!

I didn't notice the PL notes on Chapter 4, Sarah. I'll fix those this weekend as well as post the last chapter.

Here is Chapter 10, running 16:07

and the corrected Chapter 4, which now runs 17:09, is of course the same file and has been reuploaded.

PL notes for chapter 7:
24:17 missed edit: "he fastened it around the chief's - "
then just after: he fastened it around the chief's "soulders" (rather than shoulders)
First one should be fixed, second one is up to you. I don't think it's really distracting.
