The Book of Acts from The Bible, King James Version.
Peppersnoodles93 has adopted this abandoned project.
The Acts of the Apostles, also known as The Book of Acts, is the fifth book of the New Testament. It follows the 4 Gospel accounts not only in order but in chronology. As the Gospels end with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Acts begins with the 11 Apostles His other disciples embarking on the adventure of following Him and fulfilling his Great Commission (see Matthew 28:16-20 for the most commonly cited version of the Great Commission.) Though several heroes of the early Christian church are included in this narrative, much of the book tells the story of the Apostle Paul from his conversion to Christianity to his missionary journeys. (Introduction by Jason Justice)
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project will be opened up to a group project as soon as a Book Coordinator can be found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to have it re-instated).
The reader will record the following at the beginning and end of each file:
No more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence at the beginning of the recording!
Start of recording (Intro)
"Chapter [number] of Acts from The Holy Bible, King James Version. - This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say: "Recording by Jason Justice"
Say: "Acts from The Holy Bible, King James Version. Chapter #"
For the second and all subsequent sections, you may optionally use the shortened form of this intro disclaimer:
"Chapter [number] of Acts from the Holy Bible, King James Version. This LibriVox recording is in the Public Domain.
If you wish, say: "Recording by Jason Justice"
Only if applicable, say: "[Chapter title]"
End of recording
At the end of the section, say:
“End of [Chapter]"
If you wish, say: "Recording by Jason Justice"
At the end of the book, say (in addition): "End of Acts from The Holy Bible, King James Version."
There should be 5 seconds silence at the end of the recording, or 10 seconds for files longer than 30 minutes.
Example filename

Example ID3 V2 tags
Title: Chapter ##

Instructions for soloist: transfer of files (completed recordings) Please always post in this forum thread when you've sent a file.
Also, post the length of the recording (file duration: mm:ss) together with the link.
I would suggest making the file name "acts_##_kjv" with the # being the section numbers. Also, I changed your ID tags slightly - the version goes in the author tag. It's up to you if you want to put "from The Holy Bible" in the album, or if just "Acts" is sufficient.
No files to post yet but I just wanted to let you know I recorded chapters 1 and 2 (section 1) last night and just need to edit it and upload it. I'll of course let you know when that's up. I also am reading from the Gutenberg online version just for simplicity sake. The numbers being lengthier it's not as much of a distraction as I thought it would be.
Once you get a couple/few sections up, you can advertise for a PL. (That's my preference, anyway - I like to give people something to do instead of just one section.) You can post it over in Listeners/Editors Wanted. There's a thread there at the top of the list that says how to do it.
