Hi, Ted,

Your recording is fine! I checked it out. No worries.

Thanks,
Michelle

The section I just recorded is broken up into halves as its an hour and a half. What names/id3 tags should I use for the split section?

Hi, blackbox,

Please save them as and call them "5a" and "5b". The ID3 tags should reflect accordingly...let me know if further clarification is necessary. :)

Thanks,
Michelle

Will the two sections really be separate things, like, should I begin and end each section by saying something.
Also, can they be of different lengths? I did it in two sessions, and one is ~46 and the other is ~26 minutes.

Dear Book Coordinator,
I am new to Librivox but incredibly excited about this project (I only recently learned of it and think the people who thought it up were genius!). Anyway, forgive me if I err in this initial post.

I wanted to claim a chapter of Udolpho if possible. I'd be happy to do that ultra-long section, number 31 (Volume 3 chapter 6). I do have one quick question, though. Since this is a long section and is to be recorded in three parts (a, b, and c), should I repeat the introductory information (this is a LibriVox recording, etc.) at the beginning of each part?
Thank you,
Sheila Morton

Sheila,

Welcome to LibriVox. Please do record each section with it's own disclaimer and chapter denotations. I'm going to have to re-clarify this information on the introductory post...it is lacking in instructions! I leave it to you to determine where you want to make the section breaks. :)

Let us know if you have further questions.

Thanks,
Michelle

Blackbox,

Yes, please make them two separate and distinct recordings with "all the trimmings". Wherever you chose to break them is fine. Follow the usual pattern for end of chapter, by saying "end of volume x, chapter y(a) or y(b)."

Again...let me know what else I can clarify!

Thanks!

Good idea to do so, in case I miss it or anyone else needs to retrieve it. I got it just fine, though!

Thanks,
