Sure, jarrod. Section 3 is yours! Welcome to the project! :D

Before diving into a long section recording, it's best to submit a short test recording so that experts here can give you feedback on your technical settings. Information on how to do that can be found here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

Also, how would you like your name to appear in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname, some their real name) and a web site, if you have one. CLICK HERE for an example of what I'm talking about.

I look forward to hearing you!

Hi Everyone!

I am willing to read sections 4 & 5.
My name is Richard, but I would prefer to be cataloged as drrcjones.
Thank you.
Oh, and please let me know if I can assist at your earliest convenience.

Hi, Richard and welcome to LibriVox! I'll assign chapters 4 and 5 to you.

Before diving into a long section recording, it's best to submit a short test recording so that experts here can give you feedback on your technical settings. Information on how to do that can be found here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test.

Once you've taken care of this, you can begin recording.

Again, welcome to LibriVox! :D

Here is Section 2:
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/lz/mylifeinsouth_02_stroyer.mp3
20' 30"
18.7 MB

Will be happy to do whatever fixes you like.
I LOVE the way you prepped the text complete with intro and outro and filenames, etc.

There are two obvious errors in the text: "dollars for the the colonel"
and ...day or to after that... (should be two)

Thanks, Tom! :D

I'm glad you like the setup of the Google docs. I do that for myself on the sections I read for other projects. I find it so helpful I figured I'd do it when I can on my BC projects. (I should also add that I got the idea from TriciaG. :) )

Thanks, Jeffrey! I listened to the first minute and it sounds really good. Wendel will give it the official listen though.
