Dear Henrik

Thank your for your interest in collaborating with this project! However, per the first post of the project:
File name all in lowercase: msw001_[sectiontitle]_[author's last name]_[your initials].mp3
Your filename is http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/le/msw001_Boghveden_Andersen_HH.mp3

I'd ask you to please reupload without the upper case letters.

I will announce for a PLer for your section, hopefully someone who can understand Danish will be around shortly to PL it.

Thanks!
Leni

PL notes for the newly uploaded Boghvede:

the file needs amplification
the silence at the beginning should be cut from 5 seconds to less than 1
from 4:21 to the end, there are lots of noises (also in the end silence), like someone is shuffling furniture around or something (that is the last paragraph)
Otherwise very very nice reading :D
(That story is also to be found in La Fontaine's fables, who himself stole them from Æsop, was it?)

Thanks Henrik :D
Nadine

Thanks, Henrik and Nadine

Henrik, do you think you could point me to another source for this text? The source you gave us has this note at the bottom of the page: "Copyright © 2002-2010 www.hcandersen-homepage.dk". While I suppose the copyright is on the page, not on the text (which should be public domain if it is the same text Andersen published), it's difficult to be sure, unless we have a certainly PD source. I tried looking it up at archive.org, which has a lot of scans of old books, but, not knowing any Danish, I couldn't find much. It would be much better to have the text from a source that didn't claim copyright on it.

Thanks!
Leni

now amplified a little (1,5) and the silence in the beginning has been shortend.
Sorry about the noise at the end, my old dog was - I suppose - trying to find me.... and we have wooden floors...
length now 4:45

That's great, Henrik! Thanks much! :D

I will wait for Nadine to OK the recording, but I very much appreciate your finding a new text source! :)

The text source is fine (a couple of differences, like "said" instead of "told", but I don't think it matters.
The silence at the beginning is fine too.
I think it is still a bit on the quiet side, but I have a hard time telling the volume. Have you tried using the leveller (in Effects in audacity) before amplifying? That might put it up a bit.
The noise from 4:21 is still there, that has to be a big dog you've got there :D

Baha'ullah PL OK

Very good and clear reading

It should be said that it is quite difficult to find the section of the recording only by the given link, it is the chapter that starts on page 193 (arabic ۱۹۳) and ends on page 199 (arabic ۱۹۹).

Nicholas was so kind to give me a direct link to the text of this part: http://www.archive.org/details/LawhuAhmad
