"David Jaquay" is fine, no URL.

August 10th. I'm going to let this run as close to then as possible! I'll update the first post with that info. :)

Here's my recording.

I would like to be listed as Anna Maria and my URL is

Someday I'd be curious to find out why recordings sound so much better/louder before they are converted to mp3.

Anna Maria, are you using Audacity?
If so, please export the poem as a wav file and post that.
I'd like to look at it and compare it to your mp3 -- it's sounding like the settings may cause the change.
Thanks!

Hi Anna Maria -- it's completely unnecessary now that the file issues have been resolved. This was just one more bit of detective work I was going to do, but now I don't need to.

I'm returning to San Francisco today after 3 weeks away. Hope to bump into you there sometime!! Let's PM about a LibriVox birthday get-together ... maybe even with Catharine and Peter /ceastman and peastman -- who live down the coast.

I guess there may be some gatherings happening around the planet ... hope to hear of them in the Forum!

Hmm, I live *way* down the coast, but if you plan a gathering, let me know, SF is only 8 hours away...

Now, *that's* how they talk about driving in California.

Wwll, y'know, I was kind of kidding :) And it's only 8 hours if you drive in the middle of the night to avoid LA traffic! But still... if you were driving south to meet the Eastmans...
