Life and Sayings Of Mrs. Partington and Others Of the Family
by B.P. Shillaber (1814 - 1890 ) .
Mrs. Partington, not unlike Mrs. Malaprop, is prone to using the wrong words when expressing her sentiments. However, the "inappropriate" word choices often cause one to look at a situation in a new way. (Introduction by Debra Lynn)

I would be delighted, Dawn. Thanks!
It looks like we're good to go, Nadine.

I don't think the rest of the sections will be as long as this one. I had to divide the book up myself and I wanted to get all the introductory stuff into the first section. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

I don't mind them long at all. Especially if I have a headache. I can just close my eyes and enjoy the book. It's harder when they are 5 or 6 minutes, then I have to keep changing to new files. Dawn
P.S. Thanks for letting me listen to another of your projects.

When you relax and close your eyes to listen to this one, you may keep thinking that I've forgotten how to read. The whole point of Mrs. Partington being that she uses the wrong words most of the time, it's sometimes hard to keep myself from "correcting" her.
BTW, I never asked you if you got your ankle (?foot?) healed up. I think when first we "met" you were laid up for six weeks or so. How's that going?

One always needs more books. My housekeeper doesn't think so when she has to dust them, but they keep coming in the mail nearly every day. She says, "but you have enough books." I just look at her and shake my head and say, "there is no such thing as enough books."
I'm glad to hear you are back on your feet. And I'm still jealous of the book sorting job.

Oh and, Dawn, DO question it if you think it's MY error rather than Mrs. P's. These books with word play are the easiest ones for me to let something slip by during editing.

Section 2 is PL OK. I get what you mean about the language. I don't know how you read it without cracking up.
I always need more books too But, I have an ebook reader that will hold several thousand and should be using it more and buying fewer actual books. So I try to buy new books as Ebooks first.
