OK here is the next grouping of songs. They consist of the Major General song and teh Act 1 Finale. I sang baritone and tenor for these. For the tenor part in the Act 1 Finale I stopped at the end of "Hail Poetry, thou heav'n-borne maid."

Tenor Major General Chorus Part: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/pop_general_tenorchorus_sc.mp3
Length of 1min 11secs

Baritone Major General Chorus Part: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/pop_general_baritonechorus_sc.mp3
Length of 1min 11secs

Tenor Act 1 Finale Chorus Part: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/pop_act1finale_tenorchorus_sc.mp3
Length of 1min 38secs

Baritone Act 1 Finale Chorus Part: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/pop_act1finale_baritonechorus_sc.mp3
Length of 3min 59secs

I will do more over the next few days! These aren't perfect; I have a little bit of a tongue twister at the end of the finale with the baritone part but I just didn't want to have to do it all over again! lol Also, I really was sort of guessing how the music went because I don't have the choral sheet music in front of me. It was fun anyway!

Thanks,
StephenC :D

Oops! Just realized that the sheet music link was still pointing to my old (old!) and defunct geocities site. Have updated the link. You can find PD sheet music for the whole show here: http://librivox.karenrsavage.com/pirates/

Would you like me to PL each sung part as it is uploaded? Or wait until it is smucked together to make an act?

Whatever is easiest for you hazel. I don't have a preference. Is the grouped together way better somehow? Or is the separate way better?

OK, I need some guidance here. Which files should I be listening to. I can't download the older (2007) files as it seems they have been erased. Is there one place I can go to grab all the current files that need PLing? I thought I'd listen to the parts in the raw, and then again when they have been stitched together into acts. Sound OK?

Hooo boy.

What really needs to happen is that the magic window needs to get rearranged, and the links to all the individual files need to get hunted up/written in. I'm just about to hit crazy-busy time at work, and am not likely to have a lot of time to do that, but I'll see what I can do.

Guh. This project was started before the Uploader existed, and Magic Windows, and all that good stuff, and none of us ever modernized that first page.

Sorry for the inconvenience... :(

With Catharine's ok, I've set up the MW with one line per actor. I've linked in all the files I was able to find. If you have recorded for this project and don't see your files linked in the MW, please re-upload them to Catharine's folder (ce - ceastman), post a note here, and I'll add them in.

OK, so far I have listened to all of Frederic's lines and song bits, and everything sounds good.

edit: I just tried to post this in the MW and it didn't work.

Another edit: Also listened to gypsygirl's "other lines" all OK
