Erika, I have just been told by Masa-san (ekzemplaro) that there is a translation into Japanese of this book. Unfortunately google translate does not produce a very understandable article, but as your Japanese is better than mine:

They also mention Ise and Kyoto in the article? Interesting, she hasn't been there - at least not in this version of the book. There are a couple of months missing from her letters though, between the time she has arrived back in Tokyo and when she finally leaves the country. :hmm:

Oh! It looks like they want you to buy the book, so I'm not sure if the translation is out of the public domain. I only scanned briefly through the article. Yes, it says she finished her travels at Ise and Kyoto, so it must be the missing letters you were talking about.
