Hey there,

I'd like to submit my recording of Facts Concerning The Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family by H. P. Lovecraft for this collection. I have to put your desclaimer on it, otherwise it's ready to go. I'll have it up tomorrow.

* Source: DagonBytes site text (dagonBytes.com)

This is my first one, so please let me know if this is up to spec. I'm a bit unsure if it's 128KB, but as far as I know, it is. Thanks and enjoy.

HA HA you said librivox dot COM :o You have a very nice voice though. :)

edit
I didnt listen to the whole recording, just the beginning middle and end. At the end you need to say "End of recording - this recording is in the public domain" or somthing to that effect. Else we are left wondering if theres more to come :)

Hey Starlite,

Great. And I saved that for future recordings, too.

Hey thanks.

SJ, you sound great! In depth expression and clear voice =)

A couple of housekeeping things we need to take care of though... We do need to get that url correct in the recording though (as we librivox.com does not direct to our project)... also, you didn't read the author's name at the begin and the "end of" statement... If you would like, you could simply send me a new file with just the following recorded, and I can edit it all in for you... or if you'd like to do it yourself, that's fine too.

"librivox.org"
"by H. P. Lovecraft"
"End of Facts Concerning The Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family by H. P. Lovecraft"

In the future you'll want to add the ID3 tags as well.. but that's not an issue for this one as I can easily do them when I catalog the collection.

Also, just to let you know, I couldn't find the text on that site you provided, but I did find it at wikisource, so we'll just use that link for the source.

Like I said, you've done an excellent job with this story (I did listen to the entire story =) ... so, try not to let all of our wacky little LibriVox details keep you from recording more ... your voice is very welcome here! =)

OK, I think there may be some copywrite issues on this one.
Please note that Lovecraft?s fiction is still considered to be under copyright by Arkham House, and any texts presently available on the web without their consent are in violation of that copyright.

Could our copywrite guru have a gander at this? :?:

Hey thistlechick,

After Oliver Twist I was getting geared up to do The Call of Cthulhu until I checked it's publication date (1926).

Permit me to to indulge in a loud chorus of DAMN DAMN DAMN!
