Hope I'm not too late... the following blooper starts out normal enough with me chirping out the Librivox introduction... but it is puntuated with a fart from someone in the room... the fart itself isn't anything special... but I found it hilarious!

That was funny, Betsie :)

A fart and a snort in one blooper. What more could we ask for? ;)

That Reminds me:

If you still want to suggest/contribute something for the "sampler" part of the recording, please do it ASAP. I have lots of english stuff to work with, still looking for a few suggestions for non-english recordings---particularly the languges where we have more than one recording.

If nothing is suggested, I'll just pluck out a little bit to make sure I have a little bit of each language (I've got almost all of them at this point, but as the deadline is almost here I thought I'd put out one last call...I just plucked out random bits since I can't understand it anyway  )

If there is anything else you really think should be included, now is the time to speak up :)

Hey Maddie, more thoughts about the sampler...
first of all... I don't know how this can be, but I'll help however I can. I'll try to find a couple of chunks of time -- let's chat or PM about what would be most helpful.

I have a few more suggestions --- many suggestions I would have are already mentioned in earlier posts, particularly regarding foreign languages and particular readers; I hope I'm not repeating anything here I think these haven't been mentioned already...

-- Gesine's singing in Ulysses 15c (I know you already intend to use something from Stephan's great edited piece as well)

-- a snippet of any acrobatty/Cynthia reading in Northanger Abbey ch 14 or 29, to an appreciative cult following, Cynthia is like the epitome of the LibriVox appeal ... or something like that

-- a snippet of ab2525/Alex reading pi or primes (one of our younger voices and one of our stranger enterprises :D)

-- gotta have Chip's voice if he isn't already specifically named (I may have missed in an earlier post?) (I loved his intro to Don Quixote)

-- I have a snippet of alexfoster for Ulysses 15c that's a real jaw-dropper; vocal gymnastics I call it

One thing I love doing, Maddie, is gleaning. So let's talk about whether and how I can lend a hand here.

--Anita

-- earthcalling/David has been mentioned in earlier posts but his chapter for Oliver Twist is absolutely outstanding (and that work would be very listener-grabbing I think)

This may be just past submission time, in which case I apologize. This is a collection of bloopers that I've made over the past month or so. The first half has a lot of kitty noise, unsurprisingly; the last couple of things include a stumble over the Anniversary Poem, which I recorded the other morning; the artist's skill just WOULD NOT come out.

It's sent as a WAV, 'cos I couldn't remember 'zackly what format you dandy folks wanted.

Anita: I will let Maddie tell you what she wants but here is a sugesstion:

If you could take snippits of the pieces you mention, it would be a great help. I found when I was looking for bits I realy liked, It was very time consuming to go through an hour chapter to find somthing that stood out (its all good) They could be a sentance or two in length and stick em in the uploader.

Anyone else who has mentioned snoopers could do the same and save Maddie alot of time. Thanks :)

Catharine- I am still taking submissions as I can just add them to the end of the file I have already started but I think I will make the cut off for Saturday as we will need to get our finished bits to Alan (Cloud Mountain) as he will put all our bits together and make it sound good (right Alan?)

Revised Bloopers Deadline: Sat July 22 At NOON EST

I will no longer be accepting "happy birthday" Files either at that time. I will however accept names only as they are easy to add to the end. Everyone who listens to the podcast will KNOW who was late so get yours in early so you are not the last name on the list!

OH Maddie you MUST listen to this:
Maybe, if you want, I can clip a bit (or ask the reader to clip a bit so I dont stop mid sentance lol) For the snoopers reel.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Slightly altering a preposition can not only change the meaning of your sentence. It can potentially foul up an entire coroner's inquest!

This time, I did have a funny blooper. It's second in my upload line and is called "blooper_goodandevil_09a_nietzsche.mp3". It better put itself up while I shower. Ta.
