I'll take sections 6-7 if still available -- it appears they have not been fully assigned on the board.

What is the procedure for reading footnotes? There is one in section 6 that I am not sure what to do with.
Thanks!

Well, we don't have exactly a "procedure". Usually it's at the reader's discretion to decide if the footnote should be read or not; in general, I recommend people read the footnotes when they are readable (I mean, not something like "v. Arist. De Coel. II") and when they don't interrupt the flow of the story very much.

To read them you can simply say "Footnote" when the footnote begins and "End of footnote" when it's over, and just continue with the main text. You can read the footnote where it occurs or at the end of the sentence where it occurs, if reading it where it occurs would break the sentence in an odd way.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you need me to check that specific footnote. :)

Ok, thanks. I don't really think it loses anything to not have this one.

May I read sections 12 and 13 (Melmoth)?

I am new to LibriVox... my test recording can be found here:

Thanks!

Only the dark, dark night shows to my eyes the stars;
After the clangor of organ majestic, or chorus, or perfect band,
Silent, athwart my soul, moves the symphony true."

I cannot download the section i get an error report that the site cannot be found. Is it just me or my internet connection, or is there something going on with the link?

Hi, Carolin

It's downloading normally for me now. But I've had experiences before when the server would be down for a period of time, so maybe that's what happened? Could you please try again later? If you still can't download it, I will ask other admins if they are having problems as well. :?

It was a problem with my computer (again).. I just downloaded my pl chapters on my work computer and will listen tonight and tomorrow night. I'm just glad that unlike the internet, itunes hasn't given up on me yet :)

I'll be back with a feedback soon.

Thanks Carolin!
Section 7 is recorded... I just need the household to leave me alone long enough to edit so you can hear the end of the story 8-)
