A pleasure, as always.

And I haven't forgotten the artwork, but need to refresh my memory as to how to do that...

This project has been re-opened so that Denny can record a portion that was missing from the original recording. Chapters from 10 onwards will be replaced. See Error report.

Hey guys! I'm happy to DPL for this if you're still looking for someone. Are we re-PLing all the previously recorded sections, or just the new ones?

Thanks, Caet. Sections 1-9 don't need re-PLing, though a quick check that there is no gap between the end of section 9 and the beginning of section 10 would be helpful. All the remaining sections will need re-listening, though when we get through the part that was completely missing, the last chapters will probably only need top and tailing. Not sure exactly how many sections there are finally going to be, as the text has no chapter divisions at all.

The complete section 9 can be found on the catalogue page: http://librivox.org/a-journal-of-the-plague-year-by-daniel-defoe/

Adding you as DPL :).

Thank you so much, Caet, for serving as DPL.

As you can gather from my recordings, I'm a huge fan of Defoe's, and this is one of my most favorite of his novels. It'll be great to get this repaired audiobook out to listeners.

Who do I upload completed sections to? When I look for AF or ec, there is no moderator in the uploader.

Should I just keep sending them to you, Ruth?

Oh, stupid me. I didn't put my initials in the top post: rg - RuthieG. I will rectify now.

Ruth: I've uploaded Section 16:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/rg/plague_year_16rev_defoe.mp3

With this one, I've started the convention of naming the recording thusly: 16 - "I know that the inhabitants of the towns" which I hadn't done previously. I think this not only makes it easier for the proofer, but for eventual listeners who (like me) prefer to listen while also reading along in the ebook.

I did this with previous Defoe recordings, since he never provided chapters, but it's been so long I'd forgotten. Thanks for reminding me. I'll go back and rename previous audiofiles using this convention.

Here's the 17th Section:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/rg/plague_year_17rev_defoe.mp3

One more 35+ minute section will complete the missing sections, and I can get cracking on fixing the top and tail of the last already recorded and proofed audiofiles.

Thanks, Denny. Let me know how many extra lines you will need in the MW. I have lost track. If you could put the duration in mm:ss it would be helpful. (I've done 10-17).

Ruth
Shouldn't need any extras lines, actually.

Hope to put my end of this reconstruction to bed in the next two days.

We'll need to get the cover art redone, too, and the M4B if there is one.

Dear everyone:

The Magic Window is now completed.

There needs to be just Intro and Outro PL'ing to Sections 01-08 and 18-24, checking to see that the sections start and stop appropriately.

There needs to be regular PL'ing for the entire audiofiles 10-17 and 25.

Thanks so much for your help on this!

Well done, Denny :). I'm all set to recatalogue as soon as Caet has done her stuff.
