Section 2 The Reckoning, has one glitch:
At 21:53 I heard “preference” for “pretence” in
“She, for one, would have no share in maintaining the pretence of which she had been a victim: the pretence that a man and a woman, forced into the narrowest of personal relations, must remain there till the end,..."
Fine reading, BT. Thanks for starting this project, I've enjoyed listening to all the submissions. I'll PL section 7 tomorrow!

Section 7 April 25th, As Usual has one small glitch after all.
At 7:59 “heard “serving” for “sewing” in “So the gold frames, glittering undimmed, the cheeks as rosily glowing as ever, found temporary resting place in a nondescript back chamber known as the sewing room.”
It's a small difference so you can mark the section as OK if you prefer not to go back and redo that.
Nice story. I like how there was a Mz Merz and a Fred in that tale.
Cheers,
Betty
edited by me to add correct PL note!

Hi!
I have a question.
I am sorry if this information was explained before, but I'd like to know if it is possible to read the story with another person, meaning, two readers doing voices?
Thank you,
Ana
PS: I volunteered to read a folktale from Japan, Japanese Fairy Tales, compiled by Yei Theodora Ozaki: THE STONES OF FIVE COLORS AND THE EMPRESS JOKWA. AN OLD CHINESE STORY. [http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/4018]

Hi, me again,
A friend of mine will read the story [THE STONES OF FIVE COLORS AND THE EMPRESS JOKWA. AN OLD CHINESE STORY]. He knows he needs to register and contact you. I think he'll do great since there are male characters in the story. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks again,
Ana

Thanks Betty. MW updated.
Also, Section 01 is orphaned -- sure would like anything not by American or other English language writers!

I'd love to participate in this!
I'm a huge fan of Elisabeth, the Empress of Austria (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elisabeth,_Empress_of_Austria) and know that she wrote a bunch of poetry during her life. I've not been able to find an actual book of it (though, apparently, all her works were published sometime after 1951 in "Angled Mirrors: The Poetical Diary of Elisabeth of Austria"). I found one of her poems online, translated into English:
Titania shall not go where people walk
This world, where no one understands her,
Where hundred thousand gazers her beleaguer,
Whispering and prying, “Look, the fool, look there!”
Where jealousy and envy sneak her out,
To distort her every action,
She returns homebound to those regions,
Where allied, kinder souls abide.
Empress Elisabeth, 1888
Would this work for the collection?
