My pleasure to be your DPL :D

You have 14 sections now. But keep in mind that German words are longer than English words. 7000 words are some 50 min recording. If you ever want to split a chapter, just shout.

We move to Going Solo ...

I am a slow reader. The 7316 words of Willliam Wilson took me 65 minutes when I recorded it last year. However, I have probably speeded up a little since then.

I will certainly give you a shout if chapters three or four get out of hand. I think the other chapters should be fine.

Cheers

Hi Hokuspokus

Progress update

RL has intruded (as it does). I will engaged on non-Librivox staff for most of June but plan to get back into this project early in July.

Cheers

Thank you!

Three sections have been recorded. I will try and have them uploaded on the weekend.

As HP suggested above, some of the proposed sections are too long. I have reorgainzed the text so that all chapters except Chapter 6 are now in two parts.
By my reckoning that means I now need 17 sections.

This is a fantastic book - very much ahead of its time. I am enjoying reading it very much.

Cheers

Hi Algy.

I'm fairly new to this whole thing myself, and I tried to find out a way to add sections to the MW.
Seems, only the MC can do so.

Sorry, Hok. Still work for you. =(

But I can name the new sections, if that's any help!

Hey, looking forward to your new uploads, Algy!

Greetings

You are right: only the MC can add sections. As soon as the new sections are up I will update names and text links.

Cheers

17 sections, here you are :D
By the way, for a solo you don't need to put separate text links in the MW (I don't see text on those pages anyway).

Thank you Hokuspokus

I will clean up the Magic Window shortly. The text links have been put in to make life a little easier for the DPL - which they will, as soon as as I have corrected them!

Cheers

Hi Algy

I can't do any PL for the next few months. Will be more or less offline (more 'more' than 'less', unfortunatelly!). Sorry, Hok.

Let me know, if you need any help with the reading. I can do some sections offline - meanwhile. I like the novel, too.

Anyway - so long!
Until early next year.

Happy Halloween, X-Mas, New Year - you both!

Greetings from Germany!

Sorry this has been so slow.

I have recorded up to Section 8 but have not yet completed the edits.

I will be away for about week due to a death in the family. When I return I will try to get the remaining sections completed as soon as possible.

Cheers

It's great to see that you're recording a work by a Polish author :) By the way, the name's Władysław.

Thank you for the information, Piotrek.
It wouldn't make much sense to put the correct spelling into the database, because German speaking listeners would not search for it. But maybe we can put it into the summary.
