Section 66 is PL OK. Will try to get 67 done after Ash Wednesday service.

Notes from Section 67:

5:05 "heads and wrist" instead of "head and wrists"
8:38 "interest" instead of "interests"
12:20 "could" instead of "did"
15:34 "has"instead of "had"
20:57 extra word "had"
22:10 missing a phrase "ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them"

For future recordings, you might want to move you mic a little further from your mouth. It's picking up low thumps from your breath sometimes. At least, that's what I think it is. It's not bad enough to correct, but good to avoid in future. This is the first recording that's been like that.

This was a great way to spend an Ash Wednesday evening. Thanks for your timing, and for reading this. It will be a blessing to many.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm trying to fix my mike problems. I've been recording with a headset, and when I pivot the mike up or down to get it further away from my mouth, it sounds tinny. I found a Samson R10s on sale cheap, so I picked it up. But when I record with it I have volume problems. When it is close enough to my mouth to get a good volume, it picks up plosives/breath thumps. when I move it far enough away to avoid those, my volume drops significantly (and amplifying produces a very low quality sound)

I'm going to see if I can build a shield and do some more recording tests with that.

I understand! I bought a Blue Yeti to try to solve some of the same problems, but am unable to use it due to interference from something else in my building. It works fine at my church, however.....

Not happy with the old mike, not happy with the new mike. I've decided that the problem exists between the microphone and the chair. :)

Producing a recording with what I think will be an adequate solution. Will have it up soon. Sorry for the long dry period.

Good luck! I understand that frustration. I finally found the problem with my Blue Yeti. It had nothing to do with the microphone, nor any interference in my apartment. It turned out that turning the gain way up on the microphone, and the microphone volume way down (to less than 2) in Audacity got rid of the interference. That was exactly contrary to every piece of advice I had read.

All to say, it might not be between the microphone and the chair, but on the other side of the microphone!

Well, after all the microphone problems, my laptop had problems, all of my data ended up wiped had had to be restored from a backup.

BUT, I am finally back up and running again.
Chapter 67 corrections made.

I'm not really happy with the quality of the corrections, was using the old mike and it seems to have even more problems after the laptop restoration. BUT, I'm moving on to the next chapter, and a new mike. If I get the new setup working right I can always go back and fix 67 again.

thank you for your patience with my technical difficulties.

Sorry about all the problems, Donald. Way to hang in there though. This is a big project and you are 3/4 done.

Chapter 68 is uploaded and ready for proof listening.

this if the first chapter recorded with my new mike. I also tried a homemade "spit shield" to see if we could reduce those plosives.

Let me know if the new mike is working, and if I over amplified it. (or should amplify it more)

thank you!

Your new mic sounds great! It's very clear, no noticeable background noise or distortion, plosives are not a problem and volume is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.

There are 4 one-word differences:

9:36 "over" instead of "above"
9:48 "that" instead of "the"
11:13 "on" instead of "to"
12:46 extra word "men"

It is good to be working on this again! Hope you had a wonderful summer.

Corrections made!
working on 69...

This is my new Mic setup: http:/mediacru.sh/_6hZ21_y7FJX

Primitive spit shield, but I think its helping. I need to get a small stand though.
