dormouse3: PL OK for The Long Odds and The Last Lesson, but they're not mystery stories, are they? I've changed the file names and have submitted them to the Short Story Collection instead - please see here.

The Field Bazaar is fine and I'll include it here.

Please also note that I've changed your filenames: the initials at the end of the filename should be reader's initials, not MC's. This is so that we can tell apart multiple versions of the same story. Just so you know for future submissions. :)

Check publication dates... If it is 1922 or earlier, it is ok.

I believe I'll have a go at "The Pipe," by Anonymous.

http://www.gutenberg.org/files/2038/2038-h/2038-h.htm#The_Pipe

Interesting read, and it's a shame we don't know who "Anonymous" is.

I'm getting over a cold, so it will be a few days. If you fill the roster before I'm done, no problem, I'll submit it to another collection. :)

Thanks.

OK, gang...I now know who "Anonymous" is...however, there is no citation of the individual's name at Gutenberg...suggestions?

Please advise--and I'm still holding on recording as my head is stuffed to my...well...nose.

I've wanted to read this one for a while,

The Staircase at the Hearts Delight
by Anna Katharine Green
Word count: 6,622
Story Length: about 54 mins.
Text link: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/22811
Wiki Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Katharine_Green

Jeanie

Edit: Oops, just noticed that this is different from group books, I should have waited to post until I'd finished recording! as soon as I finish recording & editing & up-loading, I'll re-post. Thanks, Jeanie

Sorry that you're sick. Could you explain how you found out the author, please?
