I've decided to make this collection longer - 20 stories instead of 10. At the rate this is going, we should fill it up quickly! :)

Sure! No need to ask, really, unless you're unsure about the publication date.

Thanks, will PL shortly. This might fit better in the Horror and Ghost Stories collection, though. I'll see.

If you think it fits better with Ghost Stories I am ok with that. Should I submit it there instead? I am more than willing to do that, so please let me know.

Thanks!

Anonymous - The Minor Canon, 14:00
from a book suggested early in this thread.

It's more of a humor piece than real mystery, Gesine, so you be the judge:

A quick note re PL: I've downloaded the following stories:

1000 Deaths
Horror of the Heights
Minor Canon
Ghost Story
Foreign Office Romance
Body Snatchers

I don't have much computer time at the moment and may not get around to listening until my guests have left (next Wednesday), but don't fear, it'll be done and I'll post as soon as I can about them.

I have recorded the story again, avoiding the bursting sounds of "p" and amplifying it. Size and duration have changed a bit

TITLE: "A Thousand Deaths"
AUTHOR: Jack London
FILE: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ge/shortmyst007_thousanddeaths_mgt.mp3
SOURCE: http://gaslight.mtroyal.ca/1000dths.htm
DURATION: 29:38
SIZE: 27,1 MB

I am downloading A Thousand Deaths to PL and I will return in awhile with my notes.

Edit!!

I've listened to A Thousand Deaths and there is one small glitch:

At 6:10 stumble "gau gauge" in “In the centre of this was a vacuum gauge.”

Very creepy story and full of horror. Well read.

Betty
