The Twelve Months by George Ellis (1753 - 1815)
George Ellis, a Jamacian land owner, was a friend of Sir Walter Scott.
It is possible that via Scott he was the inspiration for Emily Brontë 's choice of the nom de plume Ellis Bell.
All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/the-twelve-months-by-george-ellis/

Each week a poem is chosen to be recorded by as many LibriVox volunteers as possible!

My recording of those Twelve Months

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/dl/twelvemonths_ellis_eep.mp3
Duration: 0'44"
Size: 695 KB

It struck me that it took more than 1 minute to save this short poem!

Good luck with this project!

Ernst

Hi Dii,
Here's mine even if I don't hold a candle next to Ernst's recording, never mind ezwa's lovely rendition [who is completely out of my league, as usual].
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/dl/twelvemonths_ellis_rn.mp3 (38s / 601kb)
As I'm not too creative, I can't wait to hear what everyone else will do with this poem.
ttfn,
raven
