Hi again,

I recorded "The Boarding House" from James Joyce's Dubliners which can be found here: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/2814

I sent a YouSendIt to your email address listed. Let me know if it worked. It's my first time doing this, so I'm sorry if I missed anything. If you think this one sounds all right I'll probably do more, because I had a lot of fun reading the story!

If you use it, please credit my name, Heath Gardner. My (rarely updated and probably not very interesting) website is at http://cosmotang.blogspot.com.

Thanks!

By the way, I supplied your email when I sent the yousendit file, but in case that didn't work for some reason, the link is here: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=173A048D0AA53272

Got it, Heath! Of course we'll use it! ^_~

Spot checks sound good --- everything seems to be in order except some ID3 tags were left blank (easily fixed on my end but something to watch in the future).

EDIT: Yours is now posted in the holding space and the listup in the first post.

While trying to find a decent cat story, I came across this charming short story (Plato:The story of a cat, By A.S. Downs,)
within "The Junior Classics, vol. 8"
http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/8075

For future reference, on the recording, should I be including the name of the anthology it was found in, or simply the author and title :?: I just read the author and title this time.

the length is 06:48
I've tried a couple of times to send it but yousendit was being stupid and freezing at 99%, so if by some chance you get it more than once, that's why.
Anyway, it *finally* gave me a link, so here it is:

Got it, Maddie. Spot Checks sound great, and just the title and author of the story itself is correct.

I'll get it posted in the first post and holding area ASAP. Thanks! ^_^

Laura,
These mother goose stories are not really in the same league with the others in this collection.

What is your opinion - should I try and create
a book thread instead of putting them here in the short stories collection?

I have not ventured to books yet.. I'd need some guidance

Got 'em, Westwinds. Spot-checks sound good!

And don't worry about how they match other selections. The Short Story Collection is supposed to be an eclectic "whatever people feel like submitting" affair. I wouldn't worry about making a book thread unless you want to read the whole book. If you'd rather just do selections, then they're always welcome here! ^_^

Greetings, All:

Here is my first attempt at a submission, so thank you in advance for your understanding.

The source I used was Gutenberg: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/2781

The link is:

For reader's name, please use Thomas' Dad or omit altogether.

Thanks!

Got it, Publius. Sounds good, thanks!

That's just fine for your name. In the future, though, please try to be a bit more careful about the project-specific ID3 tag and filename requirements. You didn't put your initials in the filename, and the album is supposed to be listed as the short story collection, not the book the story is from.

...What are your initials, btw?

I received a submission by e-mail of The Yellow Wallpaper; adding it to the list-up...

EDIT: Only one slot left in this collection! I wonder what our last story will be... ^.^

I noticed that in the list of stories to be included in this short story collection no. 5, stories 3 & 8 are the same story read by the same person but with different file names. Is that on purpose or a duplication?

Best regards,

Ah, actually they're not the same story. Since it was the same reader I copied and pasted the list entry and forgot to change the story title. Fixed it now.
