The Masque of the Red Death is included in the Short Story Collection 004
Hello all!
My very first attempt at getting something done here, so PLEASE let me know if I'm breaching any protocols .
I was scanning through the catalog, and couldn't believe no one had snagged this perfect little gem of a story yet.

Work schedule is a little tight right now, so it might take me a week or so to get it sent up.
Thanks!

Hello JCB,
welcome to LibriVox. I think there are some Poe short stories recorded already, but somehow the Masque of the Red Death didn't attract any notice yet. But I know the story and it is great that you decided to record it.
It seems that this is your first recording, so make sure that you check the Recording Notes thread before recording:
http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6427#6430
You find the disclaimer and id3 tag information there. For more detailed informaition about the recording process at LibriVox you can also take a look at our wiki:
http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/NewbieGuideToRecording
And let me think... did you manage to break any protocol yet ? Hmm, not really. The only thing is that we normally collect short stories here:
http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1724
but that doesn't matter, I will make sure that it will be included in the collection. Just keep on posting here. You can use yousendit.com to deliver your file. Either post the link here in the forum or send it to me directly: raynr AT web.de.

The nice thing about the short story (and also poetry) collections is that there is never a deadline... we collect a set number of recordings, catalog them, and then start another collection... so it's an ongoing collection... which is nice for people who prefer not to have deadlines, as well as for people who enjoy doing short spontaneous recordings.JickBahTech wrote:OK!

Have fun... don't hesitate to ask any other questions that might come up as well =)
