Hello, readers!
Just a reminder that the original target completion date (Sept 1) is fast approaching. Seems like things are chugging along, so I'm thinking we'll just push the date back a bit -- no big deal!

Here's the current status -

People from whom I'm still missing one or more more claimed chapters:
alienlurker (ch 4)
Paul (ch 8 & 9)
MermaidMaddie (ch 15)
Caeristhiona (ch 29 & 30)
Bookworm (ch 34 & 35)
Matt (ch 37)
(not to single you guys out -- just want to make sure we're all on the same page (get it? page?) and that 1) I haven't missed any recordings and 2) you remember you're supposed to do them!)

Orphaned chapters:
16-20

Thanks for all your spectacular work so far, and happy reading!
Meredith

I'm working on it, don't worry! My stuff is going more slowly since school has started, but MacDonald is still queued up in my "LibriVox list of things to do."

Hi, this is my first librivox chapter. Would've been done sooner but my first pass sounded bad due to poor recording equipment. Used this as a good excuse to upgrade. :)

I have uploaded it to the librivox.prolegomena.org website. Let me know if it's not in the correct place.

I'm still working on my chapters, lyra211. . . I should have them done soon.

I'm half done editing my last chapter. I'll have it for you before much longer.

I'd be willing to give one of the orphaned chapters a try...(my first time out!)

I guess I'll just start with Chapter 16, if it's still available.

Oh, hello, everyone!
How bizarre -- for some reason I stopped getting updates when new posts were added. Good thing I checked back!
To business:

Jennifer -- welcome! Enjoy chapter 16. Looking forward to hearing it!

jadimorok -- chapter 20 is yours. Have fun!

Matt, Bookworm, and Caeristhiona -- thanks for letting me know you're still on the project. Looking forward to getting your chapters!

ghamerly -- Yay! Thanks so much for the recording, and congrats on a lovely first recording (it really sounds great -- you have a nice reading rhythm).

For anyone who's keeping track -- I hereby orphan and de-orphan chapter 4 by claiming it for myself. :-)

Excellent. We're getting there, everyone!

Hello Meredith,

that's the reason that you didn't answer the posts. I already thought you were on holiday and I considered to step in to answer. But I see you are still in charge :D

Greetings,

Yay! I was already looking over chapter 20. --With all the poetry, it takes a little bit of extra thought to make all the words flow...

I just finished recording chapter 20. Can I give Chapter 19 a go as well?

By all means -- thanks jadimorok!
When you get a chance, could you please upload Ch. 20 to Rainer's uploading gizmo at
http://librivox.prolegomena.org/
(password: public)
Or send it to me via yousendit.com or whichever method you prefer.

Thanks again!

I just realized that I recorded it using the Ogg Vorbis encoder instead of the MP3 encoder. I have updated my recording software so future recordings will record to MP3, but I was wondering if having it in Ogg Vorbis format for this chapter is a problem, or should I re-encode or re-record so it is in MP3 instead?

Thanks.

Oh, dear, I haven't the faintest. Rainer?
My reply would be that if it's not too much of a hassle, re-encoding it to MP3 is a solution which I know would work.
