I would like to claim Ch. 8 if no one has already claimed it.

Thank you.

Kerry-- No, nobody has a prior claim on this chapter. Thanks for claiming it!

If you haven't yet, please read all the way through the main project post, here:

http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1696

Also, do be sure to put a couple of seconds of silence at the end of your recording.

Let me know if you have any other questions-- and enjoy!

Heather,

I'll give Chapter 9 a go. I'll probably take more after I complete this one, but I had better not get too ambitious just yet!

Thanks,
Michelle

Michelle,

Wonderful! This project has been languishing a bit. Thanks for your willingness to volunteer. Chapter 9 is all yours. :D

The usual advice:
- Be sure to leave a couple of seconds of silence at the end of the recording
- Read all through the project post, if you haven't: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1696
- Make sure to add your name and URL, to this page if you haven't: http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/ListOfReadersCatalogNames -- if you're not sure how to do this, ask and I'll gladly help

I've finished chapter 9, need to upload it to my website...I'll get my husband to show me again how to do that tomorrow morning.

Errrrr...I think my French pronunciation is not so good as it could be. It's been longer than I thought since those few French classes. Chapter 9 had quite a few French phrases and I did my best. I'll await feedback, if any.

Meanwhile, may I speak up for chapter 10 DR. JOHN?

Thanks,
Michelle

Michelle-- Okay, I've signed you up for chapter 9.

Like I said, I'm not a French expert (okay, I admit it-- I'm in awe of folks who can speak it!), but hopefully there are folks here that will be happy to give you some feedback on the pronounciation. I'll be happy to give it a general listen myself.

Thanks again for volunteering!

Heather

If you want feedback on your French pronunciation, when you post your file I'll give it a listen through. I minored in French in college. However, I'm sure it's fine :) As long as you say the words as if you're right and with authority, as Chip says, it'll sound great. Only those familiar with French pronunciation will notice the difference, and they will still understand.

Kri,

Many thanks. Yes, any and all feedback will be appreciated. I know I butchered much of it. Too many years of speaking Spanish since I had French classes.

I didn't get the chapter posted yet, but hope to do so tonight.
