To the prooflistener:
I found mistakes in Veblen's knotty prose, proofreader's mistakes, I assume. I corrected then as follows:
8:40 - inserted and
13:46 - changed know to known
16:25 - moved the to enhanced the repute
By the way, as a retired academic, I judge Veblen's writing to be some of the worst I've read in academic books and journals. I pushed myself to make him sound coherent when often he is not.

Started the catch-up process here as well, sorry for the delay, people. Real life took over.
PL 4, 5, 6 flawless by Leni. Thank you!
And Eugene - yes, I find myself struggling with Veblen's English all the time and often have to listen a part twice or thrice to get what he means... and still he sometimes evades me.

PL 28, 30 and 31 ok. In 29 there are crossfades in 04:26, 12:16 and 12:41 with overlapping sentences/words.
Thank you, Matthew! Not the most politically correct texts, these...

I finally have recorded the first part of my assigned chapter
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/lz/leisureclass_07_veblen.mp3
I am really sorry it has taken so long. I hope my voice will stay with me for a while now, then I'll have the other parts recorded pretty soon.
I'll try to improve on the plosives for the next recordings, and please let me know if there is anything else in need of improvement

Dear Sara - my apologies for not answering for so long! You are much too modest, staying quiet like this!
Illiterati, the book-coordinator for this project, has been so busy with his Real Life lately, that he hasn't been around here - unfortunately. And I have not kept an eye on this project recently, it seems!
I took a first listen to your recording, and it sounds very good! You must have done some recording before, I will not believe this is a first recording I haven't proof-listened completely - we'll look around to find a proof-listener for this.
I hope you are still around, and want to continue the other recordings? Again, I'm very sorry that this took over a month Next time, you are very welcome to send me a PM to let me know something is waiting!

To everyone: I've orphaned 3 sections, and will send a PM to the remaining readers to ask whether they are still planning to record their sections. I know the deadline isn't in sight yet, but things seem to have stalled here - and could do with a clean-up
Thank you Ata! Section 23 is all yours.
I noticed on your catalogue page (http://librivox.org/newcatalog/people_public.php?peopleid=4152 ) that you do not yet have a catalog name. This can be the same as your forum name, or your real name, or some other pseudonym, just what you like. If you let me know, I'll update the page for you.
