My chapters are done! I uploaded them to my webserver and emailed you a link, Hugh. I had an odd email glitch so I'm not sure the letter was actually sent -- let me know :)

Chapters 10-12 are also done. I'm not sure how to get them into the system, but you can find the file here:

chris, just listened to your psmith ... I must say I am so impressed by everyone's work on this project so far, the quality of readings is so much better that I had imagined (i guess I thought everyone would read like me!)... anyway, another great job. well done!

I got a new microphone! I've been holding off on doing my chapter while shopping around.

However; since I am now intimidated by the group after reading various comments and listening to some of the podcasts, I must put in this disclaimer: my former microphone cost all of $5 -- including shipping. So my new microphone, $49 from Radioshack, sounds much better in comparison. It will not hold a candle I'm sure to some of the other microphones out there.

I'll be recording my chapter soon and here's to hoping it doesn't bring the quality of the readings down ;)

e -- your microphone cost more than mine! :) My recordings always have some background noise, slight but there. Today I took my laptop into the closet to do some recordings and they were the least noisy ever, heheh. Anyway I think mine are still good enough, and yours will be, too. Don't be intimidated! Can't wait to hear your Psmith!

Sorry, the above post was from me. You'd figure after nearly 5 years of being on a message board staff I'd know when to log in!
