I've just finished chapters 38-39 and will send it tomorrow. Elizabeth reflects on her own behaviour after Darcy's letter. This is such a great book!

Would now like to sign up for chapters 52-53.

Thanks!

Chapters 34-35 are done! Darcy proposes, shows his ungentlemanlike behaviour, and writes a letter of explanation to Lizzie.

Hi, I'm new here, but this is my absolutely favorite book, so I would like to read a few chapters. Please sign me up for chapters 54 and 55, and 58 through 61.

I have a cold right now, but should be able to record next week.

My name is Tehilah

Thanks,

Tehilah

Excellent. That's the whole book taken! Tehilah, I've used your posting name (praise139) on the chapters, 'cause otherwise I get very confused :) . Hope that's ok...

Hi, I'm new here too. I'd like to volunteer for

Chapter 32-33

This is such an excellent idea. I'll get right on it.

Ajikan81 -- I'll give up my last section (56-57) so you can read it instead, no problem!

Chris,

If there are other new volunteers that would like to do a selection from Pride & Prejudice, I'd be willing to give up my section as well.

I love Jane Austen and P&P, but I have a lot of other readings that I'm working on, so I can afford to give this one up, if there is someone new who would really like to do it...

Looks like 56-57 is available if you're keen; you could also have 32-33 if you wanted. I've PM'ed you...

I have downloaded Audacity and bought a microphone, but it doesn't work! Whether I use the external microphone or the one built into the computer, no sound is recorded. I know someone who can help, but I don't know when I'll be able to get him to take a look at the set up. I am beyond my technical competence (which is 0 for anything but text!). I hope I am not holding everything up. - Elisabeth, snivel, snivel

It would be worth posting this message in the technical area of the forum; you might find some people able to help online. I know a few people have had some trouble.

Things worth trying: does the microphone work with other applications? Have you selected the microphone input in Audacity (I found sometimes I needed to select it, quit, then relaunch the app. Go figure.)

Anyway, don't worry about the delay; it'll be a few weeks at least before all the chapters get read... so you should have time to get the technical assistance you need :)
