PL for A Plea for Old Cap Collier, by Irvin S. Cobb.

There are some passages that sound all hacked up..as if someone has jumped in there with a knife and chopped words to bits

* 20:24 to 20:34
* 21:06 a few seconds
* 21:44 to 21:54
* 22:59 to 22:03
* 24:02 to 24:05
also at the end the word "plea" is cut off

I heard a few stumbles where you corrected words but I honestly don`t regard them as a distraction from my listening pleasure.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening, its a great story,amusing and very well read.

I download the mp3 twice and the problems didn`t go away

Hi Leon,

I recorded A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift. I'm not entirely sure it belongs in this collection since it's a satire (though it was taken quite seriously at the time). On top of that I had a cold when recording and I think I underestimated the effect that would have on the audio.
But there it is: text, audio (19,8MB; 21:38).
If you think it is annoying, I can re-record it of course.

Another one: On the tragedies of Shakespeare by Charles Lamb (text; audio; 42,4 MB; 46:20). Same goes for this one: me having a cold and all that.

PL Chapter 7 ok. Liked it

The only thing I noticed is that in the very beginning of the recording the date and place should probably come after the Librivox disclaimer.

Hi,
I recorded the last known letter that Ben Franklin wrote to a local paper under the pseudonym "Historicus." The letter was written as a parody of the debate over slavery in the Congress and so I figured it belonged in the non-fiction catalogue.
