I've proof listened to the preface and Chapter one. Both files are error free and are ready for whatever comes next.

I'm ready to listen to another short chapter.

I've proof listened to two more files.

Book 1 Chapter 3 file is fine.

Book 2 Chapter 1. read by d e wittkower has one glitch. At 1:38 the reader says. “the least presence to be the eldest house,” while the text says “the least pretence to be the eldest house..."

I also tried to listen to Book 1. chapter 2, but the file wouldn't download for me. It wasn't found on the server...

Thanks for the offer, russiandoll, but I prefer to proof listen this way for the simple reason that I am technically challenged. I'm still trying to figure out how to record my own voice! I wouldn't know how to work with a magic window.

I'll proof listen what chapters I can.

I notice Leon in the first post doen't specify whether he wants standard or word-perfect PL - if the latter then a fix on this won't be essential; but I also see that d. e. wittkower is thinking of re-recording this section anyway, so it's good to have it flagged up.

Strange. Anyway, it's one of mine and I'm sure I've still got it, so I'll try and upload it again tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know.

That's absolutely fine! (The MW is not so hard, though, once you see it from the 'inside' - and you'll always find someone to help if you're unsure - so do take the plunge one day

I've proof listened to three more short files. All are fine.

Book 1, chapter 5 is OK

Book 1, chapter 7 is OK

Book 2 Chapter 15, read by Sibella, is OK.

I'll listen to a couple more tomorrow, if they are available.
