It is much better though still a little quieter than some. I think it will do fine; will let you know if there is any problem. Thanks for resending it!

I checked the new recording with Audacity and when amplified plus a mild noise clean it sounds very good.

This is my first time doing this -- please let me know what I could improve upon.
Thanks,
Eric
There is the occasional plosive and a bit of noise as if the mic has been touched during the recording. These do NOT affect the recording but without these it would be a near perfect recording.

Thanks, Brian. I'm not sure where the extraneous noises came from -- maybe I bumped the cable or something, but I'm sure I didn't touch the body of the mic. As for the plosives, I'll take more precautions next time!Brian Edwards wrote:PL-OK

Eric, could you record yourself saying "Doctor, read by [whatever name you want to use]" for the Dramatis Personae?
Also, what name would you like to use in the catalog, and would you like a URL linked to your name there?
Thanks!

Thanks, Eric! Your catalog name and URL get entered in the database and stay the same for all your recordings, so I put in the OSS homepage instead of the Macbeth page -- is that OK? (It would take like five seconds to change, so I can switch it back if you prefer.) I will be linking the Macbeth page as the text source too. You can see your catalog page by clicking on your name in the Magic Window in the first post.
Congratulations on your first recording! I would love for you to participate in the next one too. In the meantime, look around and see if there's anything else you want to read! There are a couple of other Shakespeares with open parts... or the ever-popular Shakespeare Monologues Collection... or any number of other fun things... (it gets kind of addicting ).

After consulting with Simon, I am going to open up Donalbain for another reader, so Simon can read Banquo without conflict. We still have Simon's Donalbain safely parked on the Uploader and will use it if nobody else claims the part in the next couple of weeks.
So now we have avaiilable Macduff (big role) and Donalbain (very small role).

Sorry - I put the wrong act in the filename; should be Act II. Let me know if I need to upload again.
