At last I've had an afternoon to sit down and listen to the recordings so far.
Gosh what a lovely set of readings they are too. Thank you so much Joan and you too Jenny - I'm really looking forward to hearing your 'Salt'

And chapter 18, another great reading. Thank you too very much Darla. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to that. One thing though, could you just read the title of the story please ("The Three Men of Power, Evening, Midnight and Sunrise") No need to read anything other than that and then just email it to me as an attachment. I'll gladly splice it in

Thanks Varra. Very nice reading indeed. Sorry it was so short.
I hope the ending doesn't upset any children. I'm told that when, as a child, I was read 'Chicken Licken' I cried "Why did you tell that to me?" and was inconsolable for two days! :)

I am so glad to know that you like my recording as I had read it with quite a bad throat!

May I take up 'The Christening in the Village'? I should be able to get it done by the end of August with a bit of luck.

Andy,

I've just realised that because I am in the UK, it may be a breach of copyright for me to contribute to this project. It might be safer if I pull out of this one.

I returned late on Monday(the 21st) from my conference to find out that we were expecting a visit from Dolly, Hurricane Dolly that is. We prepared on Tuesday and were visited by the eyewall for several hours on Wednesday. Roofing tiles rained down on cars outside the building, breaking windows and denting hoods. Six broken windows and a week without airconditioning or electricity later, I am back at my computer (electricity came on a couple of hours ago). I need to do some laundry before I can record again but then I will finish my chapters. Sorry to keep you waiting.
