All yours, Lisa.
Sorry Steve. Maybe you'd like one of the others? I could help you find readers for the bit-parts...

American Psychology 1922-1947. It's the nearest thing to American Psycho that we are allowed to record.
I would do section 5 that requires two additional speakers. I can record the main section and would be happy to edit in the other speakers if I am provided with the pre-recorded files. Or does LV do this type of chapter in some other way?CarlManchester wrote:All yours, Lisa.

Hi Carl,
I see that you are looking for some bit-readers, of a few sentences each?
Shall I read the following characters for you, if they haven't been assigned already:
And would you like .wav or .mp3?

I could post them here - I presume you just need the lines (including the name of the person speaking them)? (Without the disclaimer, I mean?)- Mr. Gwynne from The Amritsar Massacre (section 03)
- Mr. Smith from The Gold Standard Bill (section 04)
- Mr. Thomas from The General Strike (section 05)
And would you like .wav or .mp3?

That's great Anna. Wav or mp3 as you prefer.
I'll do the other part on section 5.
So Steve, you just need to record Churchill's bits and leave two gaps.
Thanks,
Carl.

Hi Carl & Steve,
Here are Mr Thomas's lines for section 5:

I hope you can use them, let me know if you'd like anything changed.

I thought I'd finish the other lines as well - these are certainly the shortest pieces I ever recorded here:

Feel free to use them as appropriate (or to throw them out if not needed)

I see that I have been assigned Chapter 5, and that you and one other will supply portions for the other speakers. How do you desire this to work? Will you send me mp3 files of your portions for me to edit in? I just want to know what is the easiest before I record my portion.

Hi Steve,
The short bits of other speakers have already been recorded, you can find them here:
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/cm/commons_05_churchill_mrthomas.wav
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/cm/commons_05_steelmaitland.mp3
So yes, you can just record your bit, and then paste these sentences in. If you are not familiar with such editing (but it is fairly simple, just a matter of cut&paste basically), you can see here for some tips: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4836
Or you can ask someone else to do the editing for you afterwards.
Good luck.
