All yours. Have you recorded for LV before? If not, I'll need a test recording to verify the technical bits (not an audition), and I'll need to know how to credit you in the catalog (name and url, both optional).Abigail Bartels wrote:I'd like to take the part of Iris, if that's okay. I've never done a multi-person recording before, but I'd be willing to give it a shot! Any pointers?

Okay. No, but I am working on another project...almost finished! Here's my test from that one: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/tests/test_Abigail_Bartels.mp3.mp3Great Plains wrote:All yours. Sounds good. All the technicals look good, though if you wanted to pump up the volume a tad, I wouldn't stop you.Abigail Bartels wrote:Okay. No, but I am working on another project...almost finished! I added you to the catalog under your real name.
Good luck and welcome! Unfortunately, I don't have any pointers because this is my very first group recording

Hello,
My name is Fin Coe. I'm a first-time reader, but as I am an actor by trade, I was hoping to start out here in the Dramatic Works forum. If strangebroach is unavailable, I'd like to take up the part of Trinculo. I can have a test-recording up shortly.
Thanks.
fin

I have a question...should I record each of Iris's monologues seperately or on the same file with a few seconds between them? They are all in the same scene...
Here's the rest of Ariel's dialogue:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ks/tempest_3_2_ariel.wav

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ks/tempest_4_1_ariel.wav
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ks/tempest_5_1_ariel.wav
ETA: As of the writing of this post, the last couple are still uploading.

Put each scene on a separate file. The lines in each scene go in the same file with a few seconds between each line. I'll cut and paste everything appropriately once all the files are in (a task I'm not really looking forward to ).Abigail Bartels wrote:I have a question...should I record each of Iris's monologues seperately or on the same file with a few seconds between them? Here is my test file. I am new to the workings of this site, so while I've read some of the Starter guides, any further advice would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know what, if anything, I need to change.

PS I know that the test is not an audition, I just thought it'd be fun to record a monologue.

Here are the first two scenes of Sebastian:
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ks/Tempest_act1_scene1_Sebastian.wav
(Duration: 00:20)
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ks/Tempest_act2_scene1_Sebastian.wav
(Duration: 04:44)
Let me know what you think of the volume, any background noise, etc that may need to be fixed, I'd be happy to touch it up some more if need be. Sorry the file's so big, I'm still figuring out how to save as just 128 kbs!
