COMPE [PLAY;GERMAN] Faust I, von J. Wolfgang von Goethe - ry
Well, if you look at the first post, you see that there are two parts yet to claim. Both are in scene 25. I wrote that I don't think it's good to have too often the same reader for different parts in one scene. But Lars simply used different voices for the different parts and that's also a good alternative. If you have some alternative voices in store, please feel free to either claim "Herold" or "ein Pärchen". Otherwise, I fear you have to wait for possible orphans. In any case: thanks for your offer!

I did try making voices for a children's story a few weeks ago.
OK, I'll take up Herold - it's not too difficult to sound like a man I'll use the change pitch and the bass boost options and everything else and make myself sound different and manly *don't have to work too much for that anyway, I think *
Thanks, Rainer! And if this attempt comes out fine and ein Pärchen is still available, I'll take that up too and torment everyone.

Hello Neruu, no need to use technical effects to alter you voice. Just do everything you can with your natural voice. I'd like to have the recordings as raw as possible, as I am going to throw my techical tools at them.
Thanks for volunteering, I marked you down for "Pärchen", too!

LOL, all right, Rainer I'll experiment with my voice!
By the way, what kind of people are these Paerchen? Grown-up? Kids? If they're kids, that would make things SO easy. I haven't seen the text yet, thought you might be knowing.
EDIT - Forgot to thank you
VIELEN DANK, Rainer!

I'm sorry to say that I have no idea. However, I don't think they are children, as "Pärchen" generally means "couple". Perhaps someone else knows something more specific, otherwise: I don't think it's decisive for the story...neerajanagarajan wrote:By the way, what kind of people are these Paerchen? Grown-up? Kids? All I knew was Paerchen had something to do with a "pair". LOL, what kind of a voice does one do for a Paerchen? OK, I'll make up something, LOL.
Wow, I just noticed this project is full!
Good job
Actually this was a lot of fun and if my German does not sound too rusty and is understandable, feel free to contact me for any projects with (short) parts...

Oh, I'm sure your recording is fine! Otherwise I know where to find you...

And he sounds totally silly I'm sorry that was the most I could manage!
I'm still wondering how "Ein Paerchen" are supposed to sound. Any suggestions?

Hello Neeru,
thanks for your "Herold". And don't worry about the "Pärchen". There is no special association with this part that comes into my mind. Therefore I would suggest just to use a "normal" voice.

Hope it's acceptable! Thanks.
