Rainer,
I have downloaded 16,17 and 18. However I am somewhat uncertain that they are the correct chapters as my book divides them differently then it is shown in the magic box.
My ch 16 starts in the middle of the ball:" suddenly everybody stirred,.....
and chapter 18 ends:"so much time on such useless work."

Please check for me, I am ready to use thius very stormy w/e to do some more recording.Thanks, Éva

Hi there,

this should be the url for chapter 6.
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ry/war_and_peace_06_08_tolstoy.mp3

I don't know the size, can I look that up somewhere?
My website is Picturepush.com.

Kind regards,

La Luyben

I didn't manage to check on the forum for just one day and already chaos reigns :wink:

@wetcoast
Thank you for your recording!

@Ashwin Jain
Chapter 26 is yours, thank you so much for volunteering :D Please just remember to take a look at the first post (you've probably already done this): you should mention the end of book 6 at the end of the last section.

@heather.chan
If you take a look at the catalogue page of the any finished recording, you will see a "read by" at every chapter (or for solo projects, at the top). Look for example at the first "War and Peace" book
http://librivox.org/war-and-peace-book-01-by-leo-tolstoy/
This can (but doesn't have to) be different from the forum name. Therefore we ask for a catalogue name. Some want to have their real name mentioned, but is in no way necessary, you can simply use your forum name.
And I'm sorry to sax that chapter 16 is already claimed by Éva. Do you want to stick with the chapter 20 I gave you or do you want another one (chapters 21-25 are still available).

@Éva
Hello Éva,
don't be afraid: chapter 16 is yours :D
And here are the beginnings and the ends for chapters 16-18

Chapter 16:
beginning: Suddenly everybody stirred, began talking, and...
end: ...her he stood breathing deeply and watching the other dancers.

Chapter 17:
beginning: After Prince Andrew, Boris came up to ask Natasha for a dance...
end: ...none of them capable of injuring another--and so they ought all to be happy.

Chapter 18:
beginning: Next day Prince Andrew thought of the ball, but his mind...
end: ....could have spent so much time on such useless work.

Therefore you are perfectly on the right track :D

@ Kehinde
As always: thank you :D

@La Luyben
Thanks for your recording. Don't worry about the file size. I will check myself. And I added your url to the database.

Greetings to all,

Rainer

I'd be interested in recording chapters 21 and 22, if permitted to.

Rayner,
this happens to those who play hooky (I believe this is the expression) you are not permitted to take any time off. (':lol:') One of my previous favorite coordinator used to goof off to European vacations, while the Librivox world came to a standstill. (':wink:')
The storms are gone, but I will be good and get started.
Do you have the flu epidemic there? We got an incomplete vaccine this year,
and it created havoc, I am still aches and pains (':cry:')
regards, Éva

@Roger
Hello Roger, you are not only permitted, but gratefully invited :D. Chapters 21 and 22 are yours.

@Éva
Oh, I see, giving the size of "War and Peace", I'll never be able to go on holiday for the rest of my live :wink:.
And no, I didn't hear of a flu epidemic in Germany or Europe. I hope you will feel alright, soon. But on the bright side, I received your chapter 16 and it's linked in the magic window. Thank you! :D

@wetcoast
I'm glad that you are going to take another one. Chapter 24 is yours, and I'm looking forward to the corrected section19.
