I've recorded the next few chapters. They are uploading now and will be found at:

When I first found this text at Gutenberg, I posted that I would do it without having read through it first. It's sounding a bit weird to me now. It's starting to sound more like a book about theology than about mathematics. Algebra is defined rather broadly and, in these chapters, Mary Everest Boole begins applying her thoughts to Hebrew texts. Somehow Moses gets referred to as the originator of ?Hebrew Algebra? but I don?t quite get the connection.

Anyway, I will still persist.

Hi treesh - I'll be taking over as MC. Happy to work with you on this - it sounds fascinating! Should I download your files, or can you store them until it's all finished? How many chapters does this have?

Anyway, big new chunk, well done! :)

Hi Gesine - I've been delayed on this project for a while, but am glad to be back on track with it.

I can store them - no problem. There are 18 chapters altogether. The chapters are really short. The longest is about 4 pages and the shortest is just a page. It's a really short book (or maybe I should just call it a booklet) of about 50 pages or so.

Woohoo! Oh well done, Treesh!

I suggest we put it in the Listeners Wanted forum to be proof-listened - so easy to miss the odd thing when one edits one's own stuff! Would you like to do this yourself (if so, please read the FAQ in that forum) or would you like me to?

Also, would you perhaps write a little summary for the catalogue page?

Thank you!

I'll go ahead with the cataloguing, or rather I'll see if one of our rookie MCs would like to take this on. :)

Hi Treesh! It's a Rookie MC!

Gesine contacted me, and indicated that you would be happy to work with me. I'll go post over in Listeners Wanted, and we'll see how fast we can get things listened to. :)

Thanks Catherine,

I'm glad to be working with you. I still need to get a summary written and I'll do that in the next day or two.

Thanks! I had fun. One of these days I may tackle a longer book.
