COMPLETE: Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley
See that a number of chapters have already been DONE. Would love to listen to them before I make a stab at my own reading of chap 3-4. Are any of the them available?
Speaking the words of others to find another voice
Yes, there are two ways to get them.ianish wrote:See that a number of chapters have already been DONE. Would love to listen to them before I make a stab at my own reading of chap 3-4. Are any of the them available?
1. The Librivox catalogue
http://librivox.org/librivox-catalogue/
2. Archive.org
http://www.archive.org
Do a search for "librivox" to see all of the uploaded chapters.
http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=librivox%20AND%20mediatype%3Aaudio
Archive.org may be slightly more current as the files are stored there and time limitations sometimes keep the catalogue updates (done by hand) a day or two behind.

I've looked over the chapters, and they're awesome chapters, but I need to record my Tolstoy first. I'm planning to do that today; if it goes so smoothly that I can keep on cruising, maybe I'll try the Frankenstein, but if somebody else can do it right away, go for it...

I have recorded the Tolstoy (and sent you a link to it), but did not have time to record the Shelley. However, I have read it through, and anticipate recording it Monday night.
