I have finished and uploaded chapters 7-9, they are all in the 200712 directory on the Librivox upload server.
Please let me know what you think. I would take 10-12 once you give me a green light.
Thank you,
Colin

Colin,
Your reading is excellent! As far as the audio quality is concerned, your files are just fine the way they are. However, since you asked for my opinion, I would suggest that you try backing off a little on the volume (or if you are adding reverb to maybe consider eliminating it) for your next recording. You have a little sibilance in these files that I think might be minimized somewhat in this way.
Meanwhile I took the liberty of applying a little compression and equalization to Chap 7. This version seems easier on the ear to me (but of course, you may not agree )

See what you think. Having said all that however, let me emphasize, that this is only my opinion and these are your recordings so I'm happy to keep whichever version you prefer.
I've signed you up for Chapters 10-12.

Hey, I'm happy to do it the way you think is best, you're the expert, I'm just a guy with a little hardware and time on my hands. I'm in an empty room, so the sound maybe bouncing around a bit, so that probably doesn't help the reverb. As for the sibilance, I maybe over-enunciating those, so I will turn down the volume a bit for the next set of chapters and you can let me know how it sounds. Please continue to apply any effects or filters you feel are appropriate as well, your version sounds good.
Thank you!

Very, very far from an expert, I'm afraid. Just another volunteer like yourself. Most of us all start out the same way - with a microphone, a computer and a love of reading aloud. The rest comes with practice - lots of practice. In other words just keep reading, editing and listening to your recordings until it all sounds good to you!
