Begin your reading with the abbreviated LibriVox disclaimer:
My Prime of Youth is but a Frost of Cares by Chidiock Tichborne, read for Librivox.org by [your name]
[Add, if you wish, date, your location, and/or your personal url.]
Then read the poem:
My prime of youth is but a frost of cares,
My feast of joy is but a dish of pain,
My crop of corn is but a field of tares,
And all my good is but vain hope of gain.
The day is gone and yet I saw no sun,
And now I live, and now my life is done.

The spring is past, and yet it hath not sprung,
The fruit is dead, and yet the leaves are green,
My youth is gone, and yet I am but young,
I saw the world, and yet I was not seen,
My thread is cut, and yet it was not spun,
And now I live, and now my life is done.

I sought my death and found it in my womb,
I lookt for life and saw it was a shade,
I trode the earth and knew it was my tomb,
And now I die, and now I am but made.
The glass is full, and now the glass is run,
And now I live, and now my life is done.
At the end of your reading, leave a space and then say:
End of poem. This recording is in the public domain.
Please leave a few seconds of silence at the end of your recording.

Oh, I do like the cheerful ones!

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/200712/primeofyouth_tichborne_py.mp3

There's what seems to be a typo in the line:

The day is gone and *I* yet I saw no sun

At least, I've assumed it was an error.

I checked the poem elsewhere - Line 5 does seem wrong, and Wikipedia has it so that it scans correctly.....

Thanks gdhaire! Great reading!

PS: I boosted the volume a bit, and corrected a typo in the ID3 tags.

EDIT: can you tell me which name you want to appear in the readers' catalog, and if you have any URL to include?

Here is my contribution:

I love the image of "a frost of cares." From the history, the guy did indeed have a few.
