Sherry,

I'd like 5 or 7, please. I notice that they are your favorites, too, so if you'd prefer to keep them, assign me any, starting at 1.

**** I'm having trouble retrieving from that URL (at 11.50 and 14.20 gmt) .. "requested URL can't be found".

There is a Gutenberg text at
http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/289 ... are they likely to be identical?

Thanks,
Peter

sherry, nice project. We all seem to be into children's lit at the moment! Just one thing: In order for the catalogue to work properly, could you make your chapters two digit, please - so 01, 02 instead of 1 and 2? Thanks!

Chapter 11 for me, please!

Ever since I was a small girl, I always enjoyed the idea of Mr Toad getting his comeuppance in his very own house! And I enjoy the weasels too, they're not very nice animals. At least I think the weasels are in there. I will run along and check.

Wow, great response, thank you everybody!

The following chapters have been assigned:

01 - THE RIVER BANK (Wolvrin)
02 - THE OPEN ROAD (Meredith)
04 - MR. BADGER (Sherry)
05 - DULCE DOMUM (Peter)
11 - LIKE SUMMER TEMPESTS CAME HIS TEARS (Bronwyn Kate)

Peter, thanks for the notice about the Virginia site. I tried it this morning and it's working fine from here. I've added the Gutenberg link and will double check random sections to make sure they're identical.

Gesine, thanks for the tip about the chapter numbers.

Happy reading!

Sherry

May I please have this one:
07 - THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN

I didn't come to this book as a child, but when I realized that Pink Floyd had used the title of this chapter for their first album. It's a beautiful piece.

Thanks Chip! Chapter 7 belongs to you.

--------------------

When this book was in the suggestions section, Dennis requested Chapter 8. I've reserved it for him and I've sent him a message to confirm this claim.

Thank you!

Well! I'm glad I didn't sleep later this morning or there'd be none left for me :)

I'll take ch. 3 if it's still available -- if it's taken, anything will do.

Thanks for starting this one! I'll be your Meta-Coordinator, Sherry. If you can collect the files on your own computer as they come in it will be very helpful. If you haven't got the space, let me know and we'll work something out. Do keep track of of your readers' name and personal urls -- it'll save time later if we've got all that information handy. Let me know if you have any questions!

(Chip -- I can't read the title of that chapter without thinking of Pink Floyd!)

Hey kayray, I really hope you don't take any offense to this, but could I read Chapter 6? I was just writing a forum message about it when your message popped up. I was really excited about that particular chapter, but if you've already started it, that's fine.
