Thanks Dave, as always. And yes, the "2" sounds like a sensible precaution. I'll be back in touch once I've got a proper Description to add.
Dave, I've now added a Description to the first posting for this project. Can you please copy that across to the Project page?

With thanks,

Peter

Section 29 is fine. The plot thickens.

Indeed! The poor lad who’ll make the discovery in the morning…

Section 30 is okay.

I have uploaded section 31: https://librivox.org/uploads/craigdav1/chance2_31_conrad_128kb.mp3 (21:24)

I wonder: did ever a novelist write, consecutively, two more different novels than "Under Western Eyes" and "Chance"?

Really quite extraordinary. As if he needed to write himself into a lighter existence. Especially with the happy ending of Chance. Sailing into the sunset.

Section 30 was also perfect. Another 100% recording

Thanks very much, Susanne. Yes, I really agree with you. I feel a little sad that this part of Conrad's legacy seems to be downplayed somewhat. With "The Rescue", yes, I can understand critics wanting to look the other way, but with this one, yes, it's not a 'heavyweight', but it seems to me Conrad is quite engaged with telling his story, and gives his sardonic side pretty free rein.
