My best,

PL OK. So interesting. And another of Mme de La Tour du Pin's close acquaintances makes an appearance - Lally de Tolendal (who also was descended from the Wild Geese who settled in France with James II). She recited some of his history but thought some of his behaviour foolish and dishonorable. I think he insinuated himself into her family and did them out of their appartments at Saint Germain (the palace granted to James II and his followers).

Why am I telling you all this? You probably know it already.

Best,

Barbara

I feel mean Pam, at the end of your excellent project, to give you a PL note. But I guess you'd like to correct a little slip of the tongue on page 333 at 8:10.5 where you read "Voltaire" for "Voiture".
