This strange book will not be to everybody's liking but I've found it soothing- a much appreciated trait in these troubled times.

Oh, I almost forgot: once it gave me nightmares, though... I dreamed that I was listening to somebody telling me something awfully important IN FRENCH. I made an effort to remember what precious little French I was taught in primary school, to no avail. I had no clue. Then, the dream got even worse when I realized I was expected to REPLY in the same language... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Thank you very much for the opportunity to DPL this. It's been an interesting trip.

I agree that this book was an unusual one. I had to read it though, after reading Henry James’ short biography on du Maurier in which he basically raved about The Martian. It’s an odd premise for sure.
