I don't know why the player is acting funny. My audacity version has the five seconds of silence at the close. I'll re-upload it and we'll see what happens.

I am really confused about this. When I listened to to it with one program it all ends correctly but with a different one your speaking continues until the very end. I've listened to several recordings the past few days and all have ended correctly with the first program used except for this and one other of them.
I'm marking it PL OK but wish I understand why this happened.

I had some odd things happen too when I used the regular player on LV. It's as though the end time numerals would change. It's very strange.
I thought it best to cut this chapter into two parts.
Doesn't sound like a fun way to travel to me.

I was never in the Northeast---I travelled farther to the west---but have read quite a bit about it. It remains even today perhaps the poorest region in Brazil.
