Thanks, Adrian
It is your choice Adrian but if you decide to use HC McNeile, you should change the first post to reflect exactly what you will be saying so the DPL can know what to listen for.
Thanks. I'm having difficulty finding where I can do that. Do you have a link you could send me please?
Thanks,

Sure. In the very first post of this project, the one where you set it up, it has all the information necessary. Right below the magic window (the window with the sections in it), it says "Intro to recording:
Leave 0.5 to 1 second of silence at the beginning.

For the first section, say:
"Section (or Chapter) # of No Mans Land. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information or to volunteer, please visit librivox.org." [Optional: "Read by your name."] "No Mans Land, by Herman Cyril McNeile. Section Title."
For the second and subsequent sections, you may use the shortened intro if you wish:
"Section (or Chapter) # of No Mans Land, by Herman Cyril McNeile. This LibriVox recording is in the public domain." [Optional: "Read by your name."] "Section Title."

You can edit this post by using the edit "pencil" in the top right of the first post. Since you made this page, you can edit it. Just open it, make the changes, add the text sources, etc, then click 'submit' and it will be changed. Please ask if if this is confusing. Trust me it will all become easier as you learn the jargon we use here.

I was having difficulty finding it because I'd edited my display options for posts and topics so I would only see the last 7 days, so the first page would never display! Thankfully I've fixed that issue now and I won't be so "clever" in future

Oreki, are you still with us as DPL? Three sections are waiting in the magic window. Let me know if you can't do it, that is no problem.

EDIT: sent a PM 11/23

Our DPL seems to be busy with other things and I have asked someone else to DPL. If they agree we can go on, if not I will be looking for someone else to step in.

Oh dear... I apologize for my lack of activity. I've been absolutely swamped with school these past few weeks and I have midterms coming up again.

I'm really sorry but I don't think I can DPL this!

Ha! we understand completely Oreki. I know you are in high school and have lots to do so don't feel badly. Happens all the time. We will be getting another DPL. Hope you do well in midterms and don't forget to have fun and come back when things settle down. :D

Phil,
I've changed the naming convention by adding in the word 'section' and therefore had to edit and then re-upload renamed audio files. As they aren't needed if you want to delete the following audio files for me

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/nomansland_part1_mcneile_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/nomansland_partII_I_mcneile_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/nomansland_partII_section_ii_mcneile_128kb.mp3

that would be okay with me.

Thanks,
Adrian

The file names are not correct. We always use the following pattern
Filename: nomansland_##_mcneile_128kb.mp3 where ## is the section number. (e.g. nomansland_01_mcneile_128kb.mp3)
where the section number is two digits and is the actual section number. This t he preface should be named https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/nomansland_01_mcneile_128kb.mp3 instead of https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/nomansland_preface_mcneile_128kb.mp3 as you saved it. This is easy to fix of course and the other files should be uploaded with that same format.
EDIT: nothing needs to be deleted, when you upload the files with the proper names they will fall into place and the earler files will still be there, just ignored at validation.

Note that when you upload a correction to any file, it will replace the one already there if it has the exact same file name.

We need to advertise for another DPL, Oreki is unable to continue due to high school pressures, mid terms and such. Understandable indeed. I will put a tilde in front of the title and move this back to the Launch Pad to see if someone is interested.
