Gill,
Section 1 PL OK, but is waiting for your "et al" correction.
**
Section 2 notes
(as well as the "et al" correction...)
14sec Missing "London Labour and the London Poor - Volume 4 by Henry Mayhew (1812 - 1887), by Henry Mayhew." just before "Introduction" It's in the standard Introduction on your start page, but that line could definitely be abbreviated anyway.
1.36 Near end of para 3, pdf p 17. "Having gathered a few pebbles from the exhaustless arcana ..." Arcana is read as "arena".
5.11 line 2, para3, pdf p 18 ".... upon an infinitesimal scale" I hear something like "infitisimal" instead of "infinitesimal"
7.17 line minus 4, para 6, PDF p 18: "For although the criminal statistics ...." Read as "crime statistics" ... may not need correction.
17.58 line minus 5, pdf p20 "... it had been safer to breast" I hear "rest" instead of "breast"
16.59 (second-to-last para, PDF p 20) "Great cities," says Dr. Guthrie.
You need a "Quote" here, to match the "end quote" at 20.50, which follows "... self-denying and devoted Christians." (end para 1, pdf page 21)

"I think, therefore I am, I think." Solomon Cohen, in Terry Pratchett's Dodger
"Thieves and Swindlers" and "Beggars" are huge chunks written by other authors (about 120 and 60 pages, respectively). I'll certainly give their names at those sections.
The title page only mentions Mayhew (and the author of the essay on the agencies), so maybe it's best to just leave it at that.
I'll add it to Section 1 only, as you suggest.
Thanks!

I followed the pattern for the subsequent (to Section 1) sections. I think that's long enough. No "et al" comment after Section 1 either.
Otherwise, changes made as suggested:
1.39 Near end of para 3, pdf p 17. "Having gathered a few pebbles from the exhaustless ARCANA ..."
5.11 line 2, para3, pdf p 18 ".... upon an INFINITISIMAL scale"
7.17 line minus 4, para 6, PDF p 18: "For although the CRIMINAL statistics ...."
18:01 line minus 5, pdf p20 "... it had been safer to BREAST" (It was there, but I've made it clearer, I hope.)
16.59 (second-to-last para, PDF p 20) QUOTE "Great cities," says Dr. Guthrie.

PL notes for section 3 (These are very minor, and can easily be ignored.)
7.36 line 2, para 5, pdf p24. "... it presents the only true antidote ..." "presents" read as "represents"
14.26 start of para 7, pdf p25. "The lowest strata of society are thus reached by an agency which takes ...." Read as "... by agencies which take..."

Thanks, Peter. You're working hard on this!

I've made the first change
(7.36 line 2, para 5, pdf p24. "... it PRESENTS the only true antidote ..."
For the other, I've listened a few times but I definitely hear "by an agency which takes".

You're right about the agency; I don't know what I was hearing .... I must have been falling asleep. (I was listening just before going to bed.) My apologies.
Section 3 PL okay.

Section 6 (29:27)
https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/londonlabour4_006_mayhew_128kb.mp3
5th and final part of Agencies ... , pages xxxiv to xl (40 to 46 of scanned version)
4. Reformative Agencies.
It sounds as if I've somehow speeded up the section after recording it. Let me know if it sounds too 'choppy'.
