COMPLETE: The Federalist Papers by James Madison, John Jay, et al - jo
OK, I've uploaded a Paper No. 6 that is now delightfully free of unwanted "footnote...yadayada...end footnote"!
(same link as before)
And Federalist No. 7 has gone up as well!

Hamilton makes some very poignant observations in Federalist No. 8 - poignant because we saw them enacted in the 1860's.
Which means Federalist No. 8 is ready!

Papers 7 and 8 are PL OK!
I'm finding these papers fascinating, and I believe should be a (required?) course of study in our secondary (U.S.) school system.
I started listening to this one Mark, but the Footnotes are included. Did you upload the new file, or have issues with it? The reason that I ask is that the "new" one, which I downloaded today, is exactly the same length and size as the earlier file. I would have expected it to be shorter/smaller.OK, I've uploaded a Paper No. 6 that is now delightfully free of unwanted "footnote...yadayada...end footnote"!

Hey Don, I'll look into the No. 6 & footnote issue tomorrow. It's possible I re-uploaded the same file; I'll see.
Meanwhile, No. 10 is ready!

I only see one upload of section 6 on the server on 10/14 at 6:04 PM.
Jo
I keep a lossless FLAC version of each file. Rather than investigate what is on the server, I've listened to the key parts of No. 6 on my FLAC, and verified that's what I want to put out. (You'll find, Don, that in some of the instances I have incorporated Hamilton's footnote directly into the text, where I disagreed with him on it being sufficiently distant from his sentence to warrant footnoting it.)
I encoded a new MP3 and have uploaded it. Whatever was there before (and it's entirely possible I previously edited the FLAC and forgot to update the MP3!), this link will see you to the "footnote-less" version:

Papers 6 and 9 are PL OK!
For #6, I went ahead and adjusted the length in the MW to reflect the new file.

Jo, I changed my LV password several days ago because of a Google alert it might be compromised. I haven't had any difficulties, though, until today - now, I can sign onto the forum and the Uploader but I'm unable to get into the Magic Window. I generally leave it open in a window and refresh it when I want to add stuff, but today it's defaulting to a log-in page and refusing my credentials. If I close that window and try the link on the first page, it again goes to the log-in page.
Can you help?
I can't find any post in the logical place, Want to Start a Solo Project?, that tells newbies (or oldies like me who are having difficulties) anything about the management of the Magic Window, who is responsible for it, or how to access it. - You might suggest to the admin group that someone address that deficiency.
