Thanks, Jasna; here's section 3:

PDF pages 35-41 (No notes)

I may have a cold starting ... you may be able to hear it in my voice in the last two-thirds of this recording. So there may be a (longer!) delay before the next. My apologies.

The book's not as descriptive as I had hoped, so far. I think it gets a bit more detailed later.

No problem at all. I hope you get well soon.

I' m enjoying this project and am glad I chose it to do a little more non-fiction. I guess I lean to the fiction side a bit too much.

Please take care,

It's great to see you are feeling better! :D

Just a couple of notes:

~18:33 (repetition) "...the noble residence of the Duke of Bedford in Bloomsbury Square was taken down-was taken down..."

~21:48 (repetition) "We read in Smollet of gaming-houses frequented by these-by these worthies."

Interesting read!

Thanks, Jasna; section 4 edited and re-uploaded.

I know the area of Seven Dials and Soho quite well in the present. It's interesting to learn about its history.

Thank you for such prompt response. For some reason the first repetition can still be heard. :?

I'm finding this book makes a good companion to tour the past.

Jasna, I just downloaded the file from the MW and the edits seem okay. I wonder if you need to shut your browser down, in case it's looking at the older, cached file. The edited file has a length of 31.05 compared to 31.07 of the old file.

Thanks a lot, Peter.

Section 04 is PL OK. (EDIT)

Jasna

Sorry about the mistake.

Also, I've realized I have not updated the info on Section 4 on the MW. I will correct it right away.

Was that Section 4?

I've uploaded a very short Section 5.

From PDF pages 59-61

Note: at 1.53 in the recording. The note is on PDF page 264, referring (at the top of page 60) to: "Whole streets, once residences, are now warehouses ...."

I've split section 6 into two. The section in the text ends with three pages of tables, which I'm doing as a separate, short, piece. I'll add a note to the summary, so listeners can miss out these sections (there are probably going to be others!).

Section 6 Part 1 has been uploaded.

It's on PDF pages 62-76

Notes:
(At 16.58) p70 "The inmates suffer much, too ...." Notes page 265
(At 18.40) p70 "Few perhaps are aware of the facility ..." Notes page 266
