yes they seem a bit Laurel and Hardy this time Though I am not even sure that Anstruther knows that they are really there. I think he didn't believe Padini. Now let's see how they get out of that house. (presumably there is a window )

The mysterious Lord Barmouth makes an appearance... (again ?) You will note that I made his voice a bit similar to a previous character, though not altogether. I keep my options open, in case it turns out it's the same person I are a bit ambiguous about this in the chapters I read so far.

I'm starting to wonder what the relevance of his trip to South America is? In a lot of books from this time period, they seemed to love ascribing magic, or strange foreign diseases etc to any encounter with "exotic" races. I'm starting to feel there is some significance to that here...
