Thanks Mary Ann. I wish I could post some of the pictures included in this book. They're quite charming.

When I checked the link on Archive, I didn't see any pictures ... at least, not when I was reading the book on line. How are you seeing them?

I'm reading from my personal copy of the book. Some of her photos are quite good. She has pictures of Thibaw's palace which later burned down; I only got to see the site where it had been.

Sections 6 and 8 are PL OK.
When you post new files, please change the status in the MW to "ready for PL". That way they show up when I check my reader page.
Thanks.

Section 7 ended abruptly at 37.30. Can you check and upload again? It was PL OK to that point.

On Section 9, please check for repeats at:
12.53 - "and gradually"
13.04 - "and even at 8 o'clock"
Very well done. This is a lovely travelogue!

Regarding sections 7 and 9 : I have the MP3 on my desktop but stupidly deleted the Audacity file. Does that mean I have to re-record the whole thing? I don't know how to change it back from MP3 to Audacity.

No need to re-record ... You can open an MP3 in Audacity. It will convert it to an Audacity file, which you can edit and then export to a new MP3.

Hi Mary Ann, I haven't heard from you since September. I've posted quite a few chapters and I'm aiming at finishing by the end of the month. I hope all is well with you! Best wishes, Mary Ann Hadley

I'm here. I'll try to listen to these next week. Please let me know in the thread when you post a new section. The e-mail telling me there is a new post is what I usually use to monitor progress and know how many sections are waiting for me to PL.
